Jacket Sizing & Care

Jacket Sizing

Ladies': 4-14

Men's: 40-48

The above sizes are our stock sizes. The best way to determine size is to go to your current favorite jacket. This is your size. Our jackets, although made in Florence, Italy, are sized for the US market and are true to size.

In most cases, our jackets fit perfectly. Occasionally we have to make a sleeve adjustment. Sleeves on Outerwear garments should fall at mid-hand when arms are at your side so that they will pull back to the wrist when driving and your hands are on the steering wheel. There will be a nominal charge if we have to alter the sleeves. Keep in mind that Leather mistakes cannot be fixed. Therefore, we insist on doing all sleeve alterations.

Having said that we are also a Custom House, meaning we build jackets to order. Since our Ladies' jackets are very fitted, it is important to know if you have a normal figure. Do you have narrow shoulders, or possibly wider hips? If this is the case we will need to move up a size to accommodate your uniqueness. In Men's it is somewhat easier, as our jackets are built for the average male and are fuller. On the other hand, if you have a "Pear" shape (narrow shoulders and larger hips), it may require a custom fit. In order to do any custom order, we would have to have a conversation on how to take proper measurements and if we build a jacket specifically for you, it is your jacket and we are unable to take a return as it is made to your specifications.

Also, custom orders take 4 to 6 weeks to complete and have a 20% up-charge.

We thank you for your interest and look forward to serving you.

Care

Our jackets are handmade of "PREMIUM" skins and weigh approximately 1 to 3 pounds, depending on length and linings. In simple terms, if you are nice to your jacket, it will be nice to you. These are not work garments, nor are they cold weather garments. They are meant to be worn casually for everyday.

Our hides have been treated for WATER and WRINKLE resistance. They are not WATERPROOF as the seams have not been sealed. Rainwater will simply bead up on the surface of the skin and a simple shake of the garment will remove the beads of water. A food stain can be removed with a damp cloth, lukewarm water (mild soap, as necessary), and a circular motion over the stain.

Because of the quality of our skins, these jackets should last a lifetime under normal conditions.
